Draft Gore Petition Hits 200,000 Signatures
Oct. 13 -- The Draft Gore petition has reached another big milestone, crossing the 200,000 mark.
Group Tries to Put Gore's Name on California Ballot
Oct. 3 -- California Draft Gore, a grassroots political action committee, are organizing a state-wide effort to put Al Gore's name on the state's primary ballot before the Dec. 4 deadline. For that they will need to get get signatures from 26,500 registered Democrats -- 500 from each of California's 53 congressional districts.
Draft Gore Surge: 7,000 Signatures in One Day

27 -- Americans across the nation are rallying around a potential Al
Gore candidacy by signing the Draft Gore petition in record numbers.
Following a call to action from radio talk show host Randi Rhodes, more
than 7,000 people signed the Draft Gore petition in less than a day.

8 -- During a trip to Singapore, Al Gore stated he may reenter politics
"at some point in the future" and that none of the candidates running
for president is focusing on the crucial issue of climate change.

12 -- The treasurer of Draft Gore delivered our petition with 100,000
signatures and your wonderful comments to Vice President Gore's office
on Thursday. The petition was started last year and doubled in size

field in the nation's first primary, with a six point lead over Hillary

Gore runs far better than any of the declared Democrats against the
Republican front runner in a new poll in Pennsylvania. Gore leads
Giuliani 45 to 44% By comparison, Giuliani leads Hillary
Clinton 47 - 43% and Barack Obama 45 - 40%. Gore also
moved up rapidly in the primary race poll. He's now second to Clinton
in the state. Iowa Democrats Want Al Gore to Run May
19 -- A poll published in the Des Moines Register indicates that
contrary to what the mainstream media suggests, Democrats are not
satisfied with the current field of candidates, and 44% of those polled
want Al Gore to run. By contrast, only 23% would like Kerry to join the

18 -- The May 28 cover story in Time magazine describes Gore as "the

Gore Polls Strongly Against Guiliani April
27 -- A new poll shows that Al Gore might be the Democrats' strongest
candidate for 2008, outpolling Mayor Rudolph Giuliani in Florida.
"Giuliani remains the front-runner, but he and the entire Democratic
field should wonder if Al Gore will become an inconvenient truth in the
2008 presidential race and go for the biggest Oscar of them all," said

declared Democratic candidates in favorability ratings. Moreover, Gore
is now second in state polls nationwide for the Democratic nomination.

points behind, even though he is not running or receiving much

14 -- A new poll conducted for CNN by Opinion Research Corporation on
March 9-11 has Al Gore leading Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama and John
Edwards in favorability ratings. Gore's rapidly rising favorable

23 -- In an ABC interview on "This Week," former President Jimmy Carter

Pollster: Gore Won 2000, Cheated by Media Call Sept.
28 – A pollster argues in his new book that Al Gore won the 2000
presidential election, but premature calls by the media for George Bush
took Gore's victory away. Moore was fired by the Gallup Poll for
writing the book. He argues that the networks too quickly put Florida
in Bush's column, thus influencing the ultimate outcome. Bush’s cousin
was on the FOX team that called the election for Bush.

Gore Leads Among Netroots by Astounding Margins A straw poll of 13,000 people by AlterNet has Al Gore blowing away all potential candidates for 2008 -- 35% to Hillary Clinton's 7%. In a DailyKos poll of 13,000 people, Gore led all contenders by 68%, with runner up Russ Feingold at 15%. And on Democrats.com, Gore again has a huge lead at 38%.
